Riverview Church shares the beliefs that Christians have held for thousands of years, as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed.

We place our trust in the one God revealed in the Bible, in Christ Jesus, and in the life we share together in the Holy Spirit.

We’re focused on the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord and King over all of creation because God raised him from the dead to rescue his world from everything oppressive and restore us as God’s people; participating in his Kingdom and under life-giving leadership forever.

That’s why we’re committed to loving God and loving people and embodying the living Christ who is the hope of the world.

The Apostles Creed:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Amen.
