Prayer at Riverview
Why do we pray?
There’s nothing more exciting than being able to connect and communicate with the living God. To be human is to pray. We pray because life is precarious, marvellous and wonderful.
We understand that prayer is essential practice in the life of a Jesus-follower. In fact, Jesus’ disciples understood the importance of this practice, when they asked “Lord, teach us to pray…” (Lk.11) For Jesus, prayer created intimacy and alignment with the Father; and it’s that same intimacy and alignment that the disciples desired.
If we are to become deeply formed in Christ, living as a blessing in our city; we need to be people of prayer.
